If you want to mount a mirror with an M8 rod on your GTS or other scooter model, which normally has mirrors with an M10 rod, you can do so with this adapter.
This adapter has left-hand threads on both ends, so if both the original mirror and the mirror you want to replace it with are tightened counterclockwise , this adapter will work.
