Ideally, you'll be braking 80% of the time with your front brakes, but the 20% with the rear brake is certainly important. Therefore, make sure your rear brakes are also working 100%. It's certainly worth it for a few euros.
We have a choice of the original Vespa brake segments, or at least equally good ones from Roger Styling, and for the racing enthusiasts there are the segments from Polini.
