This thermostat cover / housing is essential for cooling the engine. It usually breaks because the bleed screw is tightened too much, causing the cover to crack because it is made of plastic.
We offer the original Vespa / Piaggio version, made of plastic, as well as the SIP version, which is made of aluminum (does not crack), CNC-machined, and anodized black.
Our advice is always to use only original parts, but in this case we prefer the SIP version.
Note: the SIP version is supplied without a bleed screw, bleed screw cap, and O-ring. These are included with the original version!
